with Developmental Disabilities (PDD) Program |
| The PDD Program, as part of the Ministry of Seniors and Community
Supports, develops, implements, and evaluates a provincial plan
for the delivery of supports to adults with developmental disabilities |
| Community
Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) |
| We want to help eligible individuals who are unable to complete
their income tax and benefit returns themselves, and who are
unable to pay to have it completed. In 1988, we established
a partnership with Revenu Québec and the volunteers from the
province of Quebec complete both federal and provincial returns. |

| AADAC
Grant Programs |
| AADAC provides funding and consultation to non-profit community
organizations or agencies to undertake community-driven initiatives
that reflect a coordinated and collaborative approach in addressing
the unique needs of their community, in the areas of substance
use and/or gambling. |
| Aboriginal
Relations' grants |
| The purpose of Aboriginal Relations' grants is to fund initiatives
that improve the well-being of Aboriginal people in Alberta.
Registered non-profit organizations, Metis Settlements, Friendship
Centres and First Nations can apply. |
| Agricultural
Society Grants |
| Alberta
Creative Development Initiative |
| The Alberta Creative Development Initiative is the result
of a new partnership between the Alberta Foundation for the
Arts (AFA) and the Canada Council for the Arts. Each organization
will contribute $1 million per year for three years to the new
program, which will provide grants to professional artists and
arts organizations including those that have not previously
accessed funding from the AFA and the Canada Council. |

Lottery Fund Grant |
| Each year thousands of non-profit/volunteer organizations
in Alberta require funding for a variety of projects and initiatives.
This year, the Alberta Lottery Fund will re-invest $1.4 billion
in communities across the province. Some of this funding is
available to these organizations through various lottery-funded
grant programs. |

to apply for an AFA grant. |

Blue Book |
| The Blue Book has three major sections. The first is an introductory
section that describes the types of payments and reasons for
inclusion in this report. It also provides payment totals by
department. |

Affordable Housing Program |
| Community
Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) |
| To provide financial assistance for the expansion and upgrading
of Alberta’s extensive network of community-use facilities.

| Community
Initiatives Program (CIP) |
| The Community Initiatives Program will support project-based
initiatives in areas such as community services, seniors’ services,
libraries, arts and culture, sports, education, health and recreation.
The maximum grant will be $75,000 per project per year, and
applications can be submitted anytime throughout the year. |

Alberta Community Crime Prevention (ACCP) Grant Program |
| Based on the Ministry’s current priorities, the Alberta Community
Crime Prevention (ACCP) grant program is available to support
community crime prevention projects targeting the following
priority groups and issues: at-risk individuals and their families;
Aboriginal people and communities; enhancing the reporting of
crime; or interventions that are linked to your local Safe Community
Strategy. |

| Major
Community Facilities Program |
| The Major Community Facilities Program (MCFP) will assist
communities to plan, upgrade and develop large community-use
facilities and places in order to enhance community life and
citizen well-being. |
| Residential
Access Modification Program |
| A RAMP grant for up to $5,000 is available to modify the personal
principal Alberta residences for eligible wheelchair users.
The applicant must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident
of Canada and the application must be the applicant’s personal
principal residence in Alberta. The total gross household income
for the prior year must be $35,900 or less. An additional spousal
deduction of $7,505 is allowed, as well as $7,505 per dependent
child under 21 years still living at home, and an additional
$6,741 per disabled child under the age of 18 years still living
at home. |

Alberta's Development Fund |
| Rural Alberta's Development Fund is an independent not-for-profit
company that wants to work with groups, organizations and communities
that care about growing rural Alberta. |
| Summer
Temporary Employment Program (STEP) |
| The Summer Temporary Employment Program (STEP) was developed
by Alberta Employment, Immigration and Industry and community
partners to help Albertans who would benefit from temporary
employment during the spring and summer months - typically post-secondary
students and high school students. |

Fund for Healthy School Communities |
| Alberta Health and Wellness established the Alberta Healthy
School Community Wellness Fund to address issues of health and
wellness among children and youth within Alberta school communities.
The fund supports projects that promote healthy school communities
and aim to improve the health and wellness of school-aged children
and youth. |

Environmental Stewardship Projects |
| Are you a youth (ages 16-25) living in Alberta and interested
in undertaking an environmental stewardship project in your
community? |
| New
Horizons for Seniors Program |
| Across Canada, the New Horizons for Seniors Program helps
to ensure that seniors are able to benefit from and contribute
to the quality of life in their community through their social
participation and active living. |
