This community foundation supports a wide range of programs and activities in the Abbotsford, B.C. area.

Our mission is to enrich the quality of life on Bowen Island by providing a way for individuals and organizations with varied interests and levels of giving to contribute back to their community, both during and after their lifetime.

The foundation provides much needed support to children’s charities, education and grassroots hockey programs. With the on-going help of individuals and corporate partners, the foundation works with Canucks players and management to have a positive impact in the community.

This BC community foundation supports a wide range of community projects and offers a lasting way for residents of the Comox Valley area to contribute to the betterment of their region.

Endswell works to be a catalyst for positive change. Through a strategic selection process, we invest charitable dollars in what we feel are the most effective and visionary environmental groups in BC, working on issues with the greatest potential to leverage impact.

Formed in early 1991, this charitable foundation helps the less fortunate members of the Vancouver community through innovative and entertaining fundraising events.

The foundation provides funding to support alternative medicine, economic education, and organizations that help the needy.

The McCreary Youth Foundation aims to work in partnership with community and philanthropic organizations, government, and the private sector to develop and fund programs and policies that can make a tangible difference in the lives of BC’s young people.

Provides funds for projects that will assist women to realize their potential and to create a safe place for them to live and work in British Columbia.

With hopes of assisting in the positive development of the local community, the Nanaimo Community Foundation has set the following goals: to develop awareness, respect and appreciation of the arts; to support initiatives within Nanaimo that promote full access to services for children and their families; to assist in making the lifelong learning experience positive, accessible, exciting and practical; to promote health enhancing attitudes and behaviours in young people.

A local resource to promote the vision of a community where everyone is able to pursue the dream of achieving their full potential. The foundation works in partnership with local organizations throughout Greater Victoria, Sooke, Sidney and Up-Island.

The foundation administers a permanent fund built and continually increased by donations from individuals and corporations. It funds a wide range of community projects.

Provides financial assistance for programs, equipment and services that support the health and well-being of Vancouver Island’s children, youth, and families.

The Foundation’s mission is to use its resources for the benefit of British Columbians by supporting efforts that improve all aspects of land use and real estate practices. The Real Estate Foundation provides both project funding and endowment grants to nonprofit organizations.

Works to find a cure for paralysis and to improve the lives of people with disabilities. The Institute also awards millions of dollars in research and rehabilitation grants.

SFYC is a non-profit organization that provides funding to other non-profit community groups in Surrey, BC, that are for youth and by youth.

Gives support to community-based innovations which produce: affordable housing; employment development; and non-profit enterprise. The core endowment fund of the Foundation comes from a dividend share from VanCity as well as donors’ bequests and other gifts. The foundation funds nonprofits in BC’s Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley and Victoria region.

A philanthropic non-governmental community foundation which operates primarily as a permanent collection of endowed funds. Income derived from the investment of the pooled capital of Vancouver Foundation’s endowments is distributed to support the activities of charitable organizations across British Columbia. The Foundation is now the steward of some 560 endowment funds with a capital of $500 million. It is the largest community foundation in Canada and the fifth largest in North America.

The foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life in southern Vancouver Island through the creation and management of funds gifted in perpetuity, and the distribution of their earnings for charitable purposes including social services, culture, health and education.

The Westminster Savings Foundation was established in 1992 as a means of sharing the Westminster Savings Credit Union’s financial success with local charitable and nonprofit groups. Funding is directed toward nonprofit and charitable groups operating within the education, health, social services, youth, and cultural sectors.

With community groups and charitable organizations having to compete for scarce resources and dwindling government funds, the foundation is committed to being there for many worthwhile causes.
