Columbia Gaming Grants
Government gaming grants allow eligible organizations
to apply for gaming revenues to support a broad range
of programs and services.
- Canadian
Environmental Assessment Agency - Participant Funding Program
Provides funding to individuals and nonprofit
organizations interested in participating in environmental
assessments.
- Canadian
Heritage - Aboriginal Peoples' Program
Provides funding for a variety of Aboriginals
programs, including language initiatives, women's programs,
youth programs, scholarships, and more.
- Canadian
Heritage - Cultural Initiatives Program
Helps nonprofit, incorporated professional arts
and heritage organizations to engage in arts and heritage
activities involving exchange, circulation, and achievement
in Canada. There are three components to the program:
strategic development assistance, capital assistance,
and festivals and special arts events.

Heritage - Multiculturalism Program
Under the Multiculturalism Program, the Government
of Canada provides funding assistance, in the form of
grants and contributions, for projects that: address one
or more of the program's objectives; emphasize social
development; and highlight community initiative, partnership
and self-help.

sport funding for national sport organizations and multisport
service organizations.

Institutes of Health Research
Federal agency providing funding to health research
in Canada. Their site outlines funding requirements, past
and present projects, and how to apply for funding, as
well as sources of funding from external organizations
and access to funding related databases.
- Community
Initiatives Program (CIP)
Provides funds to enhance and enrich project-based
initiatives throughout Alberta. CIP supports project-based
initiatives in areas such as community services, seniors'
services, libraries, arts and culture, sports, education,
health and recreation.

Canada's Funding Programs
Information on project-based funding for environmental
organizations, as well as internship opportunities and
links to other environmental funding sources.
- FedNor
FedNor is a federal regional development organization
that is committed to helping traditionally under-represented
populations participate more fully in the economic development
of Northern Ontario. Resources and funding are available
to help create an environment in which communities can
thrive and people can prosper.

Foreign
Affairs and International Trade Canada
Provides grants to Canadian groups and individuals
for the promotion of Canadian culture abroad. Applications
are accepted in the areas of performing arts and sound
recording, visual, media, and fine arts, literature and
publishing, and film and television. Grants are awarded
based on the relevance to Canadian foreign policy.
- Human
Rights, Citizenship and Multiculturalism Education Fund
The goal of the HRCMEF is to promote fairness
and access by facilitating changes that lead to equitable
participation in programs, services or organizations.
Project funding is available to organizations involved
in systemic change initiatives designed to make their
programs, services, or organization more accessible to
Albertans.
- New
Horizons for Seniors
Through Social Development Canada, this program
provides funding for community-based projects across the
country that encourage seniors to continue to play an
important role in their community. Calls for applications
are issued once or twice a year.
